St. Catherine Kindergarten at Kowloon Tong 問﹕ My son will go into St. Catherine Kindergarten. Any comment about this kindergarten and which primary school they will go into? Thanks a lot.

My elder daughter was a graduate of Creative Kinder (Lam Tin) last year. For my experience and comments about this school are as below:
1. Their environment and teaching method is good, active & creative, the kids will have a very happy life there, as they don't have much homework. But in K3, they will have a bit more homework but still no pressure on tests or examination.On the other hand, as they are so relaxed, so much leisure time, you can have more time to train her to read books. It is very important to build up their language foundation.
2. For acadamic side, their Chinese foundation not bad, but English is really minimal. For my own opinion, you have to put extra efforts on it, otherwise it's quite difficult to cope with the Pr.1 study. Reading is one of the best way for doing so.
3. When the time my daughter applied for P.1, I had tried to ask comment or advice from teachers & principal, but they were not helpful at all in this point. They told me they could not give me any advice as it was their school principle. For my own feeling, they preferred us to apply for their own private school.
4. For applying to Heep Yan for K2 , it is strongly recommendable. And it is not easy to get admitted, It is a very good school. If you really want your girl to enter this school and you have no extra marks under the scoring scheme, It is the best chance you can provide to your daughter.
For adaptability for your girl to the new school, I think it shouldn't be any problem. As all other girls also new to this school. My younger daughter also enter K1 this Sept, I will let her try to apply Heep Yan too.

5. 成績表正副本
