兩所小學均有英文直屬中學作後盾，我們的排名如下：
1. 聖嘉勒學校
2. 香港真光中學小學部
兩間小學都有直屬中學，兩間中學都用EMI (英文教學)，為甚麼將聖嘉勒學校排頭？
一來聖嘉勒中學是補助學校，而補助學校一般辦得好，而且聖嘉勒人才輩出，律政司司長梁愛詩便出自該校，在一間大學校的小學就讀比較有歸屬感，因此我們選聖嘉勒。
順帶一提，聖嘉勒學校是補助學校(granted school)，而香港真光中學則是津貼中學(subsidized school)。現時兩類學校並沒分別。
香港開埠初期的教育其實是宗教教育，是先有外來傳教士在港開辦學校才有官立學校的，這些初期開辦的中學，便是所謂的補助學校。
補助學校現已融入為津貼學校，但補助學校仍然是香港最為人尊崇的學校﹐因為這種學校重視全人教育﹐而且訓練人才無數﹗這些學校大部份也有直屬小學，加上成績優良、校譽卓著、舊生在港成就好，故被冠以名校之稱號。

DPS 問﹕ Can you advise how many points that DPS is required before one can have an interview with DPS for Primary One for Year 2007? Will it be more difficult to get a place in La Salle or DPS? Pls answer in English.

The requirement differs from year to year. Usually, it requires 15 points or above for DPS. I was told that La Salle would offer interviews to all the applicants. Also, there are more classes at La Salle. So, in my opinion, it is easier to get a place at La Salle rather than at DPS.
